The catalog must be set up before customers can buy items. Expanding the Catalog menu reveals the categories, products, and options links. The most basic setup requires categories and products. In most cases, options are also set up to allow customers to make choices about items purchased.
Categories are used to organize products for browsing by customers.
Option Types
Choose/Select, Radio - allows the customer to select one from a predefined set of options.
Choose/Checkbox - allows the customer to select any number of a predefined set of options.
Input/Text - allows the customer to input one line of text.
Input/Textarea - allows the customer to input several lines of text.
File - allows the customer to upload a file
Date/Date, Time, Date & Time - allows the customer to select various date/time formats.
Each item sold will have a product set up where the description and characteristics of the of the item are input.
You can stylize the front screen of your store by adding pictures to your home page slide show and setting your featured items.
